We’re looking for an experienced project manager to lead and inspire a team of dedicated landscapers.

As our newest project manager in our West Edmonton office, you will lead three crews who will look to you for project direction, problem-solving, and mentorship. Construction of landscaping features can be challenging, but rewarding: you’ll be the steady foundation your team can depend on, and customers will praise and trust.

This role offers many opportunities for upward mobility. With the help of our operations manager, you’ll be gaining new skills and will be expected to continually learn new methods, adapt to technology — and steadily grow customer relationships. Many project managers rise to become division managers. The starting salary range for the role is $60,000 – $85,000 with year-round employment, extended Health Benefits, and RRSP Matching.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 3-6 crews, each with a Foreman, Lead Hand, and Labourers. Ensure the successful completion of landscape construction projects.
  • Review estimator/designer handoffs for project scope
  • Schedule and dispatch crews and equipment while coordinating with clients
  • Order Materials/Schedule deliveries
  • Arrange subcontractors
  • Approve crew Time
  • Receive/process vendor invoices (Purchase Orders)
  • Send Customer Invoices and Collect A/R.
  • Provide regular feedback regarding man-hour budgets to the Crew Leaders.
  • Train, Coach, and Mentor Field Staff.
  • Review job costs to celebrate the wins and gain insights to improve.
  • At the end of your first year, success would mean project hours staying below the estimated hours, a positive review from a customer and 1 referral to a new client.


Qualifications

  • 2 years of project management experience
  • Thorough knowledge of standard methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in landscape construction and maintenance.
  • Proven track record of completing construction projects on time and within budget.
  • Ability to lead and manage a team, problem-solve, and make decisions.
  • Can communicate clearly with a professional demeanor, that is transparent and customer service-focused.
  • Excellent Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License, Clean Abstract


Preferred Qualifications

  • Design/Build Landscaping Experience
  • Landscaping/Horticulture Knowledge and Experience
  • Aspire Field Service Management Software Experience
  • Site Docs Experience is an asset
  • Experience in AutoCAD, Sketchup, and Dynascape software is an asset.
  • Ability to work Evenings and Weekends if/when necessary
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace Apps (Docs, Sheets, Slides)

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, considering materials, labor, equipment, and other project-related expenses.
  • Utilize industry-standard software for landscape design to create visually compelling and functional outdoor spaces.
  • Work closely with project managers and construction teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and construction methods to contribute innovative ideas to the design process.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture/LAT, Horticulture, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in landscape estimating and design.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of local plant species, hardscape materials, and construction methods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a solid ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with local regulations and permitting processes.

Salary: $65,000.00-$70,000.00 per year; experience level will be considered for the final offer.

Job Overview:

We seek a motivated and experienced Landscaping Foreman to lead our crew on different landscaping projects. As the Foreman, you will oversee daily operations, supervise a team of landscapers, and ensure that projects are completed efficiently, on time, and to the highest standard of quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead a team of landscaping workers on Landscaping projects.
  • Coordinate day-to-day activities, including task delegation and time management.
  • Ensure all projects are completed to customer specifications, on time, and within budget.
  • Manage and maintain equipment and tools to ensure they are in safe working condition.
  • Maintain high safety standards, ensuring team adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Communicate directly with clients to address concerns, make recommendations, and ensure satisfaction.
  • Assist with the installation of hardscapes, softscapes, irrigation systems, and other landscaping elements.
  • Train and mentor crew members, helping to build a skilled and cohesive team.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, quality control, and resource management.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in landscaping, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of landscaping practices, including blueprint interpretation, installation, and maintenance.
  • Experience operating and maintaining landscaping equipment (e.g., skid steers, mowers, trimmers, etc.).
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record (Class 5 preferred), and experience driving truck and trailer.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions and lift up weight.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both with clients and team members.

Job Overview:

We seek a motivated and experienced Snow Removal and Landscaping Lead Hand to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a full hands-on leader, capable of leading a team and actively participating in all aspects of landscaping projects and snow removal projects. This position requires driving a pickup truck and trailer and maintaining regular communication with clients to meet their needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate a team of snow removal and landscapers to efficiently complete projects
  • Work alongside team members to perform different snow removal and landscaping projects. 
  • Operate pickup truck and trailer to transport equipment and materials to job sites.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their requirements and address any concerns.
  • Ensure that all work is completed safely and to high-quality standards
  • Provide guidance and training to team members as needed

 

Qualifications:

  • Ability to use various software programs for time management, job costing, and safety purposes (Aspire, Site Docs, etc.)
  • Minimum two years of experience in landscaping or similar as lead Lead Hand, with leadership experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to operate pickup truck and trailer and skid steer safely
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent teamwork and leadership abilities
  • Physically fit and able to perform manual labour in various weather conditions
  • Knowledge of landscaping and snow removal techniques and materials
  • Customer service-oriented mindset
  • Experience Landscape maintenance: 2 years (preferred)

 

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Winter: night and day shifts. Spring and summer, day shifts.
  • Weekends as needed

 

Salary:  $22 – $25
